Restoring furniture yourself requires patience and an eye for detail, but will leave you with a sense of accomplishment, and also some extra cash to pay off all those holiday expenses. Just remember to wear your safety glasses!

2)Add glitter (Decorate it)

Ok, so maybe no glitter, but I bet you’ve got a creative itch that needs scratching. You do? Then print a stencil and personalize your furniture opus with your name, some floral patterns, or a picture of Michael Jackson. The wood is your canvas.

3)Go vintage (Distress it)

Everyone loves the look of aged furniture, but you’re not old, you’re young… so how are you supposed to get a hold of your own gem?
