It’s the 20th Anniversary of The X-Files, whilst I want to believe it’s been this long, we are surely not this old!

Please take this down as I believe the city of Ottawa has not issued a permit and the residents have protested about this event on our street. Street closures are not permitted due to the health and saftey of the residents without proper police and fire department involvement. Any questions should be directed to the office of Stephen Blais local MP for the area.

Hi Susan, thanks for your comment. I won’t take this blog piece down as the event is still going ahead but in a new location. Hope you can make it, thanks, Amber.
Luc
Many people on Scully Way are not so stuck up. I am sorry Susan feels her health is in jeopardy but myself and other neighbors welcome you all to have a great time. See you there and hopefully again next year.

L***, I find your comment very rude. You don’t know S***’s situation and I totally agree with her that it’s a health and safety issue. I live right by Mulder & Scully and I am NOT happy one bit, you dont have to worry much because it’s not really going to concern you.
Susan
As a resident who had no say in the matter of this event and was lied to about permits being in place when Stephen Blais told me none had been obtained: I was understandably upset about this situation. Many people on the street have children who have to attend hockey, swimming, and other sports. It is unfair and unjust to systematically take over a residential street for a company’s personal agenda. I have no problem with people having a good time or of an appropriate venue being obtained for this cause. I just don’t like being handed a letter saying I have no say in the matter. I was not the only one who is upset I’m just the one who decided to stand up to my rights. If you think that is being “Stuck Up ” then so be it I don’t care what you think of me.
