Iron-on Halloween treat bags with free printable
Halloween is coming up, and it’s always such fun to see kids’ faces light up when you fill their pillow cases with candy. But wouldn’t it be fun to really make your candy stand out from the sea of foil wrappers?
This free printable is just the trick. By printing onto iron-on transfer paper and using muslin bags, making sweet little treat bags bursting with candy is sure to delight any kid who comes trick or treating at your door. They’re also perfect for hosting a halloween party.
The best part? It’s super simple.
- Free iron-on printable
- Printer with colour ink
- Muslin bags, no smaller than 3×5 inches
- An iron
- Scissors
- Candy
Step 1 Print out the pdf onto iron-on transfer paper as per instructions. Cut along the dotted lines. Trim so no dotted lines remain on the paper, otherwise they will also iron onto your treat bags.
Step 2 Heat your iron. Check the instructions on your iron-on paper package. You may not be able to use an ironing board, but you can use a folded towel instead.
Step 3 Line up the iron-on transfer onto your muslin bag, face down.
Step 4 Carefully and slowly iron over the iron-on transfer, applying even pressure throughout. Iron for the length of time instructions require. Allow the transfer to cool completely for two minutes (unless your instructions say otherwise) and very slowly and carefully remove it. I recommend practising on a scrap piece of fabric before moving onto your treat bags.
Step 5 Fill with candy and make some costume-clad kids happy!
That’s it! Super sweet and simple.
Happy crafting and a very happy Halloween!
