After a successful inagural community toy drive during last year’s holiday season,

UsedPEI.com will once again be collecting toys to dontate to children and families in need.

CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI – UsedPEI.com is extending an invite to PEI residents to participate in “The UsedPEI.com 2nd Annual Toy Drive.” This fun and important community event will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 12 to 4 p.m. at That Fun Place where new and gently used toys will be collected.

The drop off location is That Fun Place, located at 401 Capital Drive in Charlottetown off the North River Causeway. Individuals who drop off a toy will receive a ballot to win a family pass (up to six kids) to That Fun Place.

“Last year, PEI residents were very generous with over 200 toys and books coming in from about 100 different families and individuals,” said Alicia Packwood, UsedPEI.com Community Coordinator. “We hope to build on that momentum and have another successful toy drive this year by exceeding those numbers.”

The toys will benefit three island organizations including: The Island Pregnancy Centre, Chances Family Centre and The Family Place (Summerside).

“Last year Chances Family Centre helped 150 families and several more benefited through the Island Pregnancy Centre and PEI School Board,” said Packwood. “This year we have added the Family Place in Summerside so that our collection of new and used toys can benefit families right across the Island.”
